Why You Should Switch Your Toilet Paper this Year- Who Gives a Crap

This is a sponsored post by Who Gives A Crap.

I’m very excited to be working with Who Gives A Crap because they are just one of the best sustainable brands out there. Their recycled TP subscription is one of the first things I got my mom hooked on and you know why?? It has a big impact, with little effort. I’m all for living sustainably, and I’m even more for it when it’s made easy.

I’ve been in love with this brand for YEARS now, so let me just tell you my favorite things about them:

They made toilet paper fun?

Yeah, I really didn’t know toilet paper could be fun, but here we are. They are wrapped so beautifully that you just HAVE to put them on display. Yes, toilet paper on display. I went from putting off buying toilet paper to the last minute to looking forward to unboxing my new shipment of Who Gives A Crap. It’s a glow up for SURE.

It’s made of sustainable materials

Traditional toilet paper destroys 27,000 trees every day. That’s a lot of trees for a product we use for five seconds! That’s why I LOVE that Who Gives A Crap makes toilet paper out of recycled paper or bamboo

Plus, if we’re so big on recycling, we should be using products made of recycled materials.

It’s plastic-free

Each roll is wrapped in beautiful paper for sanitary reasons and is shipped in a cardboard box. The only plastic is the tape, but they have recently been testing a variety of paper tapes as better options!

They donate 50% of their profit to sanitation programs

To me, this is the best part. 50% of their profits??? Are you kidding me??

This blows my mind because when I was earning my degree in marketing, we always talked about this term called "corporate responsibility." This is where corporations should take charge and give back to their community with their profits and platform. This usually results in initiatives like large corporations donating 1% of their profits or having the option at supermarkets to donate $1 to hospitals. While this is doing some good, is that really all businesses can do for our communities around the world??

So when I found Who Gives A Crap and realized they donate 50% of their profits, I was emotionally moved. The brand has already donated over $7,800,000 USD to non-profit partners working in clean water and sanitation. These donations help fund building toilets and improving sanitation in developing countries around the world.

It’s shipped to your door

So the rolls are plastic-free, made of recycled paper or bamboo, supports clean water initiatives, and is a subscription that ships right to you. As I said, I’ve been using this brand for years and can attest to how easy it is. If it’s time to receive a new shipment of TP and the box I already have isn’t out, it’s a simple click to reschedule my shipment.

It’s competitively priced to conventional toilet paper

So here’s some quick math for you. When I bought my first box of Who Gives A Crap TP in 2019, the conventional rolls I was using came out to about 75 cents a roll, and Who Gives A Crap came out to $1 a roll ($48 for 48 rolls). So naturally, I thought I was spending more money.

The thing is, their rolls are double-length (400 sheets a roll) and they last forever. Anybody who I’ve got to try this brand says the same thing. So on paper, it looks like they cost more, but I think you get more for your money per roll because of how long they last.

So yes, I am a huge fan of Who Gives A Crap and they make living sustainably about as fun and easy as possible. For the month of January 2023, get 20% off your first subscription by using the code “IMPACTFORGOOD” at checkout.
